Mark Cuban Has Sold His Majority Stake In Mavericks To Casino Mogel
It has been a very busy week for (now) former owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban. First, the billionaire left Shark Tank after 16 seasons, now he is ending his run as the Mavericks owner since 2000.
The estimated sale is in the evaluation range of $3.5 billion dollars, which is insane considering Cuban bought the team for $285 million twenty-three years ago.
It’s expected to be a done deal by the end of the year, and if the owners of the league approve of this team transaction.
Miriam Adelson of the Adelson family will be taking over the team, but Mark Cuban will have the final say in the transaction Dallas tries to make. Cuban will be running their basketball operations, he still wants to be heavily active with the franchise on a pure-basketball level.
“The Dallas Mavericks are one of the world’s most successful and recognizable sports franchises,” according to the prospective new owners. “The team has won an NBA championship, has a long history of attracting international superstars, and has been supported by a dedicated and passionate fanbase and leadership group led by Mark Cuban.”
