Heat To Sign Patty Mills
The Miami Heat are reportedly set to sign veteran guard Patty Mills for the remainder of the season. According to ESPN’s Wojnarowski, Mills is a late-season addition for the postseason.
Since trading Kyle Lowry, Miami’s well of point guard depth has been running low. Even with adding Terry Rozier, it wasn’t enough depth. Especially if they are making a serious playoff push like they did last season.
The 35-year-old combo guard has abundant playoff knowledge, with 95 career playoff games under his belt. This is exactly what the Heat are looking for.
He even has NBA Finals experience; he played for the San Antonio Spurs during their respective runs in 2013 and 2014.
In 19 games played for the Atlanta Hawks, Mills averaged 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 10.6 minutes.
