Anthony Davis most likely not going to play in Game 5 due to a recent injury! If the Laker’s chances of not winning Game 5, and potentially the series, got any more impossible it should today. As the news broke that Anthony Davis, who has done everything for the Lakers this series, may not be able to play Game 5.
But why? Why isn’t he able to? Well, it was reported last game that he suffered a strained groin injury in Game 4 against the Phoenix Suns. Needless to say that the Suns won due to Davis not being there. Multiple reports are saying that he is day-to-day, however, it is most likely that he is not going to play Game 5. Which is a critical game for both teams.
However, there is positivity being rumored that he will be able to play beyond Game 5. Because of the Lakers/Suns win or lose it doesn’t matter; why? Because from an injury standpoint we see that Game 6 would be coming and that could allow Davis to come back. Now, Game 5 does matter for momentum into Game 6 as it decides who takes the crucial lead, who leads it 3-2. That is very important, but at least the Lakers aren’t going into their deciding-series game without The Brow.
It has been stated though that while he has not been ruled out as of yet, it does take a week for this type of injury to heal.
