Anthony Davis plays through hyper-extended knee in Suns-Lakers Game 3!

Anthony Davis plays through hyper-extended knee in Suns-Lakers Game 3! The Lakers have been impressively battling back and took the lead of the series last night, but at what cost? With the series leading at 2-1 with the LakeShow on top, Davis had a monstrous game. He put up 34 points and 11 rebounds with 50% shooting . Impressive, wouldn’t you say?

What is even more impressive is the fact that he suffered an injury to his knee with a few minutes remaining in the first-half; an easy scare to say the lest as Davis blocked a fast-pace lay-up of Bookers and almost sunk the hearts of fans and players and everyone alike. However, after hyper-extending his knee he opted to stay in the game. Like, legit, he played all his minutes like a champ and a beast.

Here is what he had to say about his injury and the game:

“It’s the playoffs. … We got two days in between so I can get it looked at and checked out,” Davis told reporters after the game. “But landed awkwardly, tried not to fall on Book and I guess it hyper-extended a little bit, but just keeping it warm, keeping it loose just wanted to keep going. It felt fine throughout the rest of the game, really didn’t have any problems with it. But like they say I was all full of adrenaline, so we’ll see how I feel tomorrow, get some treatment Saturday and be ready to go Sunday.”

If Anthony Davis were to miss any time do you know how significant that would be for the Suns? With the Suns losing back-to-back this would be huge to try to win Game 4, right? Also, imagine how much damage that would do to the Lakers, because LeBron isn’t fully healthy either with that ankle injury.
