Blazers Aggressively Pursuing Multi-Team Damian Lillard Trade

While the Miami Heat appear to have submitted their best offer to date, Portland isn’t convinced it’s the smartest offer to accept.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Trail Blazers are exploring trade scenarios beyond the Heat. It does sound like the Blazers will still trade with the Heat, but they want more assets and are willing to go into a multi-team deal to get what they want.

The Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors are two teams that have shown interest in trading for the All-Star guard. However, their interest may be stopped due to the fact Lillard will still request a trade to Miami no matter what.

Training camp begins October 3rd, a day after Media Day.

Damian Lillard (DVT) Able To Enter Recovery Phase

Tremendous news came out featuring Damian Lillard and his current blood clot situation, and that is the fact he has been cleared of his deep vein thrombosis (DVT for short).

While he cannot play in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers, the talented veteran can resume contact workouts and begin ramping himself up for games in the future.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Lillard is no longer required to take blood-thinning medication. In just over three weeks, Lillard has been able to be medically cleared. This development is something doctors never have seen before.

The medical professionals told Milwaukee that this was due to early treatment, detection of the issue, and having specialists being able to treat Lillard even before a formal diagnosis.

The Bucks first round matchup is against the Pacers, which will be an exciting series. Their contest begins Saturday.

According to the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are out for tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls.

Both players suffered non-COVID illnesses since their NBA Cup championship game in Las Vegas.

Lillard hasn’t played since last Tuesday, and Giannis has not since Friday night.

Milwaukee has no Christmas game, so their next game is December 26th—the day after Christmas Day.

Damian Lillard (Concussion Protocol) Out Against Raptors

The Milwaukee Bucks will be shorthanded heading into Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors with Damian Lillard being out.

According to multiple reports, headlined by Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Lillard has entered the concussion protocol. The reason why is due to taking a hit to the head during the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Boston Celtics.

The 34-year-old experienced headaches and dizziness, with tests later uncovering that he did indeed suffer a concussion.

Despite being out for Tuesday’s game, and being in protocol, there is a possibility Lillard can be a “go” for Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons.

This season, Lillard is averaging 26.0 points off 44.4% from the field, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in ten games.
