Giannis Antetokounmpo Signs Extension With Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks were able to come to terms with their superstar player, Giannis Antetokounmpo. This is great news for both parties as now it gives reassurance of what both sides want, in terms of goals, and having strong commitment for each other.

Antetokounmpo inked a three-year, $186 million deal. This includes a player option for the 2027-28 season. Plus, as a side bonus for Milwaukee, Giannis’s extension runs through the remainder of Damian Lillard’s contract.

General Manager Jon Horst flew to Chicago on Sunday to meet with Antetokounmpo’s agent, Alex Saratsis, to work out the big and small details of his client’s new deal.

Previously, the one-time champion could have been a free agent in 2025. However, the Bucks continue to have the loyalty of their franchise player.

Last season, the 28-year-old averaged 31.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. He appeared in 63 games.
