According to the Los Angeles Lakers’ General Manager Rob Pelinka, Jarred Vanderbilt underwent procedures on both of his feet over the course of this offseason.
The 25-year-old had suffered a mid foot injury on his right foot and a bone spur on his left heel. The operations took care of both of those issues.
Despite multiple operations this offseason, Pelinka and the rest of the organization are optimistic that he will be ready by the first game of the regular season.
“We have a lot of optimism that when the real games start, he’ll be available. Between now and then, there is still about a month, and there are a lot of ramp up steps that need to go well, so hopefully there won’t be setbacks,” said Pelinka.
