Kings Sign JaVale McGee

On August 29th, the Dallas Mavericks waived JaVale McGee. Now, on August 31st, the Sacramento Kings have signed the three-time champ.

The 35-year-old immediately cleared waivers to sign with the Kings. This signing isn’t shocking given how much Sacramento wanted him and was rumored to be the frontrunner since McGee hit the waivers.

This signing has been confirmed by Chris Haynes (Bleacher Report) and Shams Charania (The Athletic).

McGee will be reuniting with Mike Brown, they both saw each other back in Golden State when Brown was an assistant coach under Steve Kerr.
