Kristaps Porzingis To Have Surgery On Leg
It’s being reported that Kristaps Porzingis, after winning the 2024 NBA Finals, will have an operation done on his left leg. According to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, the operation will make him miss a couple of months.
The 28-year-old suffered a torn medial retinaculum, which allowed the dislocation of the posterior tibialis tendon in his left leg in Game 2.
The impressive part was that, while suffering this rare injury, he played in Game 5 to help the Celtics to their 18th championship.
“Of course,” Porzingis told ESPN, when asked if he was concerned about making his injury worse by playing on it. “I think something could have happened, for sure, especially compensating now on the other leg now, which I just came back from.
“There was definitely some added risk, but I didn’t care. I was like, ‘I want to give everything I can and then fix it after if I need to.'”
