LeBron James: ‘I Don’t Have Much Time Left’
Soak the greatness of LeBron James in, as it may not last for many years. The 39-year-old has talked about retirement before but now confirms to the media that he won’t be in this league much longer.
His comments came after an impressive win over the Brooklyn Nets; LeBron had 40 points and tied his career-high nine three-pointers.
“Not very long. Not very long. I’m on the other side, obviously, of the hill. I’m not gonna play another 21 years, that’s for —- sure. But not very long.
“I don’t know when that door will close as far as when I’ll retire. But I don’t have much time left,” said James.
According to The Athletic’s Jovan Buha, James wants to end his career as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. This is what he prefers.
This offseason, LeBron has a $51 million player option available to him. It’s widely believed he will opt out and sign a long-term deal, his final contract, to end his incredible NBA career.
