Mike Woodson and Indiana University closing in on a deal! Rumors have been confirmed by sources around the NBA, as the former assistant of the Knicks is moving on.
Woodson has been in-talks with the college team, for men’s basketball, as they have been in need of one. Sources/rumors came along to say that Brad Stevens, HC of Boston, was going to go there. However, Stevens had already confirmed that is false.
The deal for Woodson will be for six-years as he will be there new head coach. Woodson has been in the NBA for 25 years as the assistant and head coach of several teams. The head coaching role was with the Hawks and Knicks; the assistant head coaching role was with the Knicks, Bucks, Cavs, Clippers, the Pistons, and even Philly.
As a side-note, the team fired Archie Miller earlier this month.
