According to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer, the Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks are both interested in hiring Bob Myers to run their organization. Two teams who desperately want to change the trajectory of their future.
Myers hasn’t been in charge of a front office since stepping down as the Golden State Warriors’ general manager and executive back in 2022-23. Since then, the 50-year-old has worked at ESPN and a brief consultant for the NFL’s Washington Commanders.
Both teams will reportedly have a hard time successfully convincing Myers to join their franchise, as the Suns have no cap space and picks, and the Hawks are on another time zone with a franchise always being stuck in the middle.
Beyond the challenges of the two franchises, Myers has not hinted wanting to leave his broadcasting job at ESPN. It’s unclear where he stands on this matter.
