Pacers Expected To Offer Pascal Siakam Max Contract This Summer
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Indiana Pacers are looking to extend their newest acquisition to a long-term deal after having tremendous success with him.
General Manager Chad Buchanan and Indiana are ready to offer the 30-year-old a max deal that goes up to five years; it’s been reported that both sides have a mutual interest in continuing their partnership.
“They understand it’s a maximum level contract commitment you’re going to have with Pascal Siakam,” said Shams Charania. “That’s what they’re preparing to offer him this summer. He wants to be there. There’s mutual interest in getting a deal done.”
An extension is very likely due to Siakam wanting an extension from a team, which will now be the Pacers, and never getting that from the Toronto Raptors.
The Pacers made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals before getting swept by the Boston Celtics.
