With that being said, they have scouted and received permission for multiple assistant coaches. The two names they have gotten permission to talk is Kenny Atkinson and Kevin Young.

Kevin Young is the current assistant of the Phoenix Suns; Kenny Atkinson, who has been in the conversation of being a head coach in past seasons, is the current assistant of the Golden State Warriors.

James Borrego, Ime Udoka, and Frank Vogel are the remaining top names that Houston is interested in talking with.
