Rudy Gay Signs With Warriors

It has been confirmed by many reports that Rudy Gay has been signed by the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

Gay will be competing for a roster spot heading into training camp, this will be his 18th season in the NBA.

The main reason why Golden State signed Gay was due to the fact that the team wanted veteran players who wouldn’t cause distractions. Since the Jordan Poole, Draymond Green incident occurred, Golden State has made it a point to have no more distractions to disrupt the success of this franchise.

For Rudy Gay, he has had a long offseason. Originally on the Utah Jazz, Gay was shipped off to the Atlanta Hawks for John Collins. After getting traded to Atlanta, they sent him straight to the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, he didn’t last long on the roster. Oklahoma City waived him.

Training camp opens on October 3rd with preseason games beginning October 5th.
