According to Shams Charania, confirmed by an MRI, the Golden State Warriors will be without Stephen Curry for at least the next two games.
For those that don’t know, the peroneal is a muscle in the foot, which Curry strained, and it happens when it is overstretched due to a forceful movement. This is why last night, he couldn’t put any weight on his foot for long periods of time.
The 36-year-old suffered the injury late in the third quarter, as many believed it to be a rolled ankle. Video showed it to be a non-contact injury.
In the middle of the fourth quarter, Curry attempted to return to the game. However, he quickly collapsed to the floor and needed assistance to the locker room.
Golden State would later rule him out for the remainder of the contest against the Los Angeles Clippers.
He will be re-evaluated this upcoming Friday, per ESPN’s Charania.
