After winning Game 6 and forcing a win-or-go-home Game 7, the Denver Nuggets could be without Aaron Gordon; an important piece throughout their entire postseason run.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Gordon suffered a left hamstring strain during the final minutes of Game 6. His status for Sunday’s game is officially in “doubt.”

Good news for both the Nuggets and Gordon, the schedule allows them to have an extra day off in-between Game 6 and Game 7. This gives the 29-year-old more opportunities to make the pain less and his hamstring manageable to play minutes.

It should be noted that Gordon has dealt with leg and calf injuries at different parts of the regular season. Unfortunately, his hamstring is now the latest victim of the injury bug.

With Gordon hitting multiple game-winners, averaging 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds, his contributions and overall minutes will be sorely missed if he is unable to play.

According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson II, both the Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga are interested in considering a sign-and-trade that would benefit both sides.

As of late, Steve Kerr has completely disregarded and pushed off the services of Kuminga, especially when he could have been used in tight or really tough situations. Plus, the Warriors have found it difficult to get Kuminga in a positive, consistent space where it wouldn’t disrupt the flow of the team.

A sign-and-trade would be beneficial to both sides, as Kuminga would prove his worth for a team who wants him and the Warriors would get draft capital, a needing piece, or whatever his return value would look like.

For this consideration to take place, Golden State would need to extend the $7.9 million qualifying offer to Kuminga during this upcoming offseason. Per reports, they are expected to do so.

While Kerr has lost full confidence in Kuminga, owner Joe Lacob has not. He remains committed to the 22-year-old and wants to see him return to the team next regular season. However, if he is traded, Lacob reportedly won’t let him go for nothing. It must be for the right price in his head.

“There are certainly things he has to improve on, but he’s 22 years old,” Lacob said. “He’s got a hell of a lot of potential, and I would think he would be a part of our future plans. Now we’ll have to see how the market all shakes out. We have a lot of evaluating to do. Not me necessarily. But everybody — from coaching staff to basketball operations. We’ll kind of sit around and talk about how we want to construct the team for next year and what the situation is with respect to him.”

According to The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie, rival teams around the league believe the Milwaukee Bucks haven’t given up on Giannis Antetokounmpo and want to keep him.

With news of Antetokounmpo being open to going to a new team and teams like the Brooklyn Nets wanting to go all-in for him, this could become a likely scenario where the NBA champion takes his talents somewhere else for the betterment of his career.

For Milwaukee, they have limited draft capital that won’t allow them to have a prosperous future – if solely relied upon. In addition to that, with Damian Lillard being out next season due to a torn Achilles and the Kyle Kuzma trade being a failure, Giannis would be the only thing keeping them relevant enough to compete in an ever-growing Eastern Conference.

On the flipside of keeping him, per numerous reports and breakdowns, if general manager Jon Horst were to trade Antetokounmpo, then they could recoup some of their draft capital and get a solid player or two back in a trade to keep them Play-In (or better) bound.

It’s expected Antetokounmpo and his representatives will meet with the franchise soon to discuss their relationship, the future, if they are entering a rebuild period, and if Giannis wants to stick around.

Next season, the 30-year-old will have his new extension kick into action. In the first year, Antetokounmpo will be making $54.1 million. His second year will see him making $58.4 million, with his third year making him $62.7 million. The third year is a player option.

The overall contract is a three-year, $175.3 million extension. This will be the first time in his career where he’ll be making at least $50 million a season.
