According to Marc Stein, the Golden State Warriors have been strongly interested in bringing back De’Anthony Melton for the next season. Last offseason saw Golden State sign Melton to a one-year, $12.4 million deal.

Fans only got to experience six games of Melton’s talents due to him suffering a partially torn left ACL. That injury left him done for the remainder of the season. For the Warriors, they would love to bring him back to give him another shot on the team.

Golden State has been linked to signing players like Al Horford, Bradley Beal, and now potentially the 27-year-old.

According to The Athletic’s Fred Katz, ahead of his much-anticipated contract buyout, Bradley Beal is beginning to set sights on new potential landing destinations. Many teams are expected to make a play for the talented veteran guard.

For Beal, he is targeting teams like the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Milwaukee Bucks. The Clippers are seemed the most likeliest team after they traded Norman Powell away and have created cap space for him.

For the buyout to work, the 32-year-old would need to give at least $13.8 million back to the Suns in their agreement for Phoenix to be able to waive and stretch his $110.8 million contract. His contract runs through the 2026-27 season.

It’s expected teams will offer Beal their midlevel exceptions due to the financial restrictions they’ve been facing this offseason. The Clippers can offer Beal $5.3 million, with the Lakers offering around the same with $5.1 million.

In 53 games last season, Beal averaged 17.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, the Washington Wizards have shown legit interest in trading for Jonathan Kuminga. Washington would see him as their Jordan Poole replacement.

Since they don’t have enough cap space to sign him to an offer sheet, Washington will go down the sign-and-trade route.

Kuminga has struggled in Kerr’s system after falling out of rotation and being injured. Many have pointed to his lack of consistency and defensive breakdowns as the main source of why he lost favor with Golden State’s coaching staff.

If Washington decides not to trade for him, then there are a lot of other teams expected to show interest in him.

The Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and Brooklyn Nets are teams that have publicly shown interest in the 22-year-old.
