Stephen Curry Targeting Game 6 For His Earliest Return

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Stephen Curry is not expected to play until Game 6. A devastating blow considering how competitive this series has been and what can be expected for the future.

“He will be reevaluated on Wednesday,” said Shams Charania. “My understanding is it will probably not be any point until Game 6 at the earliest.”

Curry has been instrumental during Golden State’s postseason run, which saw him propel the Warriors past the Houston Rockets and hopefully against Minnesota.

Per the man himself, the 37-year-old has never suffered a hamstring injury before in his professional career. For those unaware, Curry is dealing with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

During this year’s postseason, the future Hall of Fame guard is averaging 22.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in eight appearances.

Darius Garland And Others Expected To Play In Game 3

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to get back Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and De’Andre Hunter for their critical Game 3 matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

Garland has been dealing with a severe toe injury, Mobley has been dealing with a sprained ankle, and Hunter has been dealing with a sprained wrist. All three players will tough it out to try to fight back against the Pacers.

“I’m expecting Darius Garland to definitely be in tonight,” said Shams Charania on The Pat McAfee Show. “He wants to play. He wants to give it a go.”

“All three, to my knowledge, are aiming to go into tonight’s game with the intent to warm up and play in this pivital Game 3,” added Charania.

Right now, Indiana is beating Cleveland 2-0. If the Cavaliers fail to win Friday night, then their season may be looking over.

Stephen Curry Out At Least A Week Due To Hamstring Injury

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Golden State Warriors will be without Stephen Curry for at least a week. Game 2 has been ruled out, with there being a possibility of him not being able to return until Game 6 or Game 7.

An MRI confirmed Curry’s hamstring injury to be a Grade 1 injury, which will force him out at least one week.

Curry has never suffered a hamstring injury like this before, however, positive news, with this much better than being a Grade 2 injury. If he suffered that level of injury, then he would have been out for at least an entire month.

Stephen Curry says he doesn’t have a return date in mind:

“No. and from all that I’m learning about how quickly you can get back, there has to be a healing process. You can’t accelerate.”

Golden State plays Game 2 Thursday night, where they currently have a 1-0 lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jrue Holiday Expected To Play In Monday's Game 1

According to multiple reports, spearheaded by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Boston Celtics are expected to get back Jrue Holiday for Monday’s Game 1 against the New York Knicks.

Boston has been banged up with injuries since the beginning of their series against the Orlando Magic; notable names being Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown.

Beyond those three, a very notable name missing was Holiday. He’s been dealing with a strained right hamstring.

The medical staff has given the defensive-minded 34-year-old a clean bill of health to be able to play Monday. This is great news for the Celtics, who are going up against a tough matchup.

Overall, Boston does not have anyone else on their injury report.
