The Kemba Walker Experiment is OVER as Knicks are sidelining him indefinitely!
News broke earlier today that the Knicks and Walker have mutually agreed to resting the guard for the remainder of the season. Since Walker will be on a expiring-contract, his agents and the franchise will be working on a potential trade.
In short, the Knicks could be looking different at the point guard position come this offseason as Kemba Walker may not be on the roster moving past this season. All the signs are pointing towards that happening as the team and him have been on rocky terms. He was benched after averaging 11 points per game in those first 18 games, however, he was put back into the rotation due to so many injuries and COVID-19.
Imagine what happens to Kemba Walker if COVID/injuries didn’t take place. He could have been traded at the deadline; who knows exactly what would happened.
For now, all we do know that is certain is that he is done for the season. The final 23 games that the Knicks have will be without the former Hornet.
