According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the San Antonio Spurs legendary head coach Gregg Popovich is most likely out for the remainder of the season.

He suffered the mild stroke back in November, as his coaching was up in the air on whether he would return or not. On Saturday, it was made clear about his return and it was made even more clear that his future with the Spurs is uncertain.

The 76-year-old has been San Antonio’s head coach since 1996, which has seen them in the Finals five times and 22 playoff trips.

Mitch Johnson is the current interim head coach for the Spurs. Originally, Johnson was only suppose to be there in the short-term, now it’ll be for the long-term.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer has made the decision to reinsert Bradley Beal back into the starting lineup. Fans saw Phoenix’s “Big 3” play together during Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bulls.

The veteran guard replaced Tyus Jones at the point guard position. Despite benching him, Jones is still “valued” by the Suns and Budenholzer.

Phoenix is trying to jumpstart to their team for their playoff push, as they’ve slipped to 11th in the Western Conference. They are currently 27-29 on the season, with them being 1-1 after the All-Star break.

“He organizes us. He brings leadership, stability,” Budenholzer said. “He’s a point guard. He’s that guy that’s looking to get everybody involved. Has a comfort level with that spot. He’s been good.”

In his first game back as a starter, Beal put up 25 points (10/19 FG), six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the New York Knicks will see their center make his season debut within the next week.

Mitchell Robinson has completed multiple full scrimmages recently, as he has one more scheduled with the intention of him being cleared to return.

The 26-year-old has been out since Game 1 of their second round matchup against the New York Knicks. Robinson has been dealing with an ankle injury, which involved surgery, and has been rehabbing for months to get to this point.

New York hopes his return will add a nice addition, a boost, to their frontcourt.
