Warriors to face the Lakers on opening night

The tradition continues for defending champions on opening night as the Warriors are set to open the NBA season at home and receive their rings. Per The Athletic, the ring ceremony will happen on opening night.

Golden State will be taking on Los Angeles at home come October 18th. This game is set to broadcast on TNT and be the second game to kick off the season.

Lakers-Warriors on opening night and Lakers-Mavericks on Christmas Day, if anyone was wondering.
