Danny Green and his fiancée receiving death threats!

Danny Green and his fiancée receiving death threats! Wow, fans are taking disappointment to a whole new level. Especially Laker fans, figures it would be them. Who else would be complaining about this?

Following Game 5 of the NBA Finals, fans are letting Danny Green know their frustration. The last shot of the game was taken by Danny Green, after LeBron James passed up a shot to almost when the game. What makes Danny Green’s shot sad is the fact that he was wide open, that is why they are so upset.

Fans are not only targeting Green for death threats but also his fiancée, Blair Bashen. That was when it was raising concerns from Danny Green, this is the quote:

“I had to ask, ‘Are you getting death threats?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, you are too,’ and I was like, I don’t know, because I don’t really pay attention or care,” Green said after shootaround Sunday ahead of Game 6. “Nor am I upset, shaken or worried about it. I’m just not one of those types of people. I probably should be a little more paranoid or safe about things.”

Here is what Green has to say on him blocking out social media bullying:

“I’ve been conditioned to everything that I’ve gotten throughout the whole year and throughout most of the bubble season on social media; it was nothing new to me so it didn’t really matter.” he said. “It didn’t faze me. Didn’t care. Just ignore it. Those people’s opinions don’t matter to me. The only people in that locker room and on this roster are the opinions that are relevant and that matter to me. And if they’re still confident in me and still encouraged and still believe in me and believe in us; that’s all that matters to me: that we can get this thing done.

“All the rest is background noise, and nobody cares about it when it’s all said and done. All they care about is who wins at the end of the day, the end of the season; who is the last team standing. And if we can get that job done, all the other irrelevant, negative noise doesn’t matter.”

The shot that made everyone hate Green was with a few seconds left, he was wide open shot to win the game. Now, here is the thing. He was on the bench with 3:42 left to go in the game, then he was put into the game with 16.2 seconds remaining.

What was going on in his head? Here’s how he explains it!

“Basketball-wise, it was a good look. I had more time than I realized, should have took more time, probably rushed it a little bit, a little off balance,” he said. “But we got a good look, we got a second opportunity and if I could get that play back again, I’d give anything to get that shot back again. Trust me.”

What are my thoughts on this?

Look, fans do this all the time. They heckle, send threats of all kinds, and they will put their opinions in anything negative. That is that. Now, you don’t need to be sending this to his fiancée. That’s just not right, she isn’t involved with the team. With Danny Green making or missing that shot, the scheme, etc.

I think the people should have kept the messages and threats to Green himself, but not spreading it to another person not even involved with the game or shot. Also, even with all the passion we have for these games, they are just basketball games. They are suppose to be fun and entertaining. It is just a game, it’s not like the man did anything wrong in that game.

Many teams – Suns, Celtics, Lakers, and Cavaliers – were interested in signing Danny Green after hitting the buyout market. However, Cleveland was the team that was able to get a deal done.

This signing makes sense because the Cavaliers needed wing depth, and the championship experience is an added bonus for the organization.

Green is signing a one-year, $2 million dollar deal with the Cavaliers.

Green was traded to the Rockets from the Grizzlies at last week’s trade deadline. The contract buyout was never a shocker as it was more expected than anything else.

OKC and Lakers making moves!

OKC and Lakers making moves!

OKC and Lakers making moves! Earlier this morning, Sunday Morning, moves were being made. Both sides are getting players potentially draft picks.

The deal includes OKC shipping off Dennis Schroder to LA; in return for Danny Green and potentially a draft pick. Since there is a rule stating you can not trade first-round draft picks consecutive years; it is looking like a second rounder will happen most likely.

Now, there are some strings attached. Danny Green has been stating, since knowing of the trade, that will not be playing for OKC. Both sides are okay with that as OKC will try to flip him, and trade him to get someone or something else.

With the transactional wire opening up Monday afternoon, they’ll be able to agree upon this deal. This deal may not take place until Wednesday, the day after the night of the Draft Day.

The main reason why the Lakers want him in a trade is due to the fact that two of their players could be lost in free agency. First off would be Rajon Rondo; Playoff Rondo could potentially be leaving the Lakers to play with someone else this free agency. That is why they are trying to trade for Dennis Schroder; as his replacement and full time starter.

Secondly, we have Avery Bradley. Bradley’s time in LA could be winding down; so they fear if they lose their two veteran guards, they would need a replacement. A younger replacement, this would fill the role by trading for Schroder.
