Luka Doncic has signed his supermax rookie extension with the Dallas Mavericks! What was an already highly anticipated signing has officially been signed; the signing was becoming more and more real as both sides were optimistic to do so. Plus, the fact that it progressed into Doncic signing it after the Olympics were over.
By getting the two first All-Team awards during his career, he was eligible for this huge deal. This deal is worth $207 million dollars that goes for five years; safe to say that he is getting a huge payday. The final year of his contract will allow a player option, which will be beneficial for both sides. Why? Because if things go well and if they can advance out of the first round, there may be more LukaMagic after five years.
Nonetheless, this is an exciting day for the organization to retain their franchise player and for Doncic to get the biggest contract of his entire career.
