Kevon Looney re-signs with the Warriors

After having a monstrous, breakout season with the Warriors; Looney is getting rewarded with a three-year, $25.5 million dollar contract. Despite his career being filled with injuries, he was able to play all 82 games of the regular season. Also, wanna hear something cool? Not only did he do that for the regular season; Looney also did that for the postseason – playing in all 22 games.

His success came when the Warriors were using him within the big man rotation; that is where he has thrived and helped being a contributing member of their latest NBA Finals success.

His strong presence in the paint and securing the rebounds is something the Warriors wanted to retain and maintain for the upcoming season. Plus, they don’t have to worry about the position no more – even if they slow roll James Wiseman due to his right knee injury.

Jamal Murray Signs $208 Million Extension With Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets will not be losing one of their franchise players any time soon, as, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jamal Murray has signed a $208 million extension.

Murray was set to enter this season looking for a new contract. If he didn’t sign an extension, he would have been an unrestricted free agent in 2025-26.

Denver has signed him to a four-year, $208 million max extension. This will add to the $36 million Murray was set to make in the 2024-25 season and guarantee the 27-year-old $244 million over the next five seasons.

Per ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the final year of his deal will see a significant payout of $57.5 million. Murray’s contract will run through the 2028-29 season.

Ivica Zubac Signs Extension With Clippers

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Clippers have extended Ivica Zubac’s contract. This extension will have him under contract through 2027-28.

The 27-year-old will make $70 million over the next four years. For those that didn’t know, Zubac was in a contract year. His former contract signed was a three-year, $32.8 million deal.

Zubac’s new contract with Los Angeles is the most he could have received under the new NBA’s CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement).

Last season, he averaged 11.7 points (career-high) and 9.2 rebounds in 68 appearances.

Pacers Extend TJ McConnell To Four-Year Deal

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Indiana Pacers have decided to extend outstanding backup point guard TJ McConnell to a massive extension.

McConnell has agreed to sign a four-year, $45 million deal. This will run him through the 2028-29 season, making him 36. By the time he is an unrestricted free agent, he’ll be 37.

The 32-year-old was entering a contract year, which saw him making $9.3 million for the upcoming season. With this new extension, McConnell is stated to make $54 million.
