According to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards will be without franchise superstar Anthony Edwards for multiple weeks due to suffering a bone bruise and hyperextended right knee.

With Edwards wanting to make a postseason return, should Minnesota continue their tremendous playoff success, he will start rehabbing immediately so that he can accomplish that goal.

An MRI confirmed that he did not suffer any ligament damage to the knee, which is a tremendous victory.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury towards the end of the first half in Game 4, as he landed weirdly and then needed assistance to the locker room. He was assessed during the break and then was later ruled out for the remainder of the game during the middle of the third quarter.

Right now, in their first round matchup against the Denver Nuggets, they are up 3-1.

During Game 4’s victory against the Denver Nuggets, Donte DiVincenzo suffered a torn Achilles less than two minutes into the game. Fans saw DiVincenzo suffer a non-contact injury and needing assistance to the locker room. Later it was confirmed he was out for the remainder of the game.

The 29-year-old starter was officially diagnosed with a torn right Achilles tendon. He is set to have surgery on Sunday.

The surgery will be done by Dr. Martin O’Malley. He is the same doctor who repaired Jayson Tatum’s Achilles’s in New York last year.

According to multiple reports, Victor Wembanyama has suffered a concussion during Game 2’s loss against the Portland Trail Blazers. He will need to clear multiple checkpoints before being cleared to return to on-court activities.

The 22-year-old was driving to the basket against Jrue Holiday when he lost his footing and fell forward, prompting him to hit his head on the floor. He remained down briefly, appeared out of it while attempting to get up and was helped to the locker room for evaluation.

Under NBA concussion protocol, a player showing symptoms must be removed and evaluated in a distraction-free environment. Plus, a physician must also review video of the incident before any return to play is permitted.

If Wembanyama were to receive a formal concussion diagnosis, league rules will restrict him from playing for a minimum of 48 hours. Game 3 is scheduled for Friday in Portland.
