Magic Exercise 24-25 Options For Paolo Banchero And Others

The Orlando Magic announced they have picked up the rookie scale team options for Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, and Franz Wagner.

October 31st is the deadline to pick up rookie scale team options for players who were part of the 2021 and 2022 first-round draft classes.

Banchero is entering his third season, while both Suggs and Wagner are entering their fourth season in the association.

President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman made the announcement; also, per team policy, the terms of the deals are not disclosed.

Jalen Suggs (Knee) No Clear Timeline For Return

According to the Orlando Magic, Jalen Suggs has been diagnosed with trochlea injury in his left knee.

In him trying to return to the court, Suggs was experiencing discomfort in his knee, which prompted the organization to order extra imaging for their promising combo guard.

The further evaluation has confirmed the 23-year-old to be out indefinitely, as a treatment plan has been made with the intentions of him making a full recovery.

Suggs is averaging 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists this season.

According to Chris Haynes, the Orlando Magic are set to have Paolo Banchero return to the starting lineup Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Banchero has not played since October 30th, where he has missed 33 games this season.

The 22-year-old suffered a torn oblique and has been recovering ever since. Rehab went amazingly, as Banchero would return for Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves or today’s game against the Bucks.

The young rising star averaged 29.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in his five games before getting injured.

The Magic are fourth in the Eastern Conference. Orlando is 22-17.

Paolo Banchero Returning From Injury Thursday Or Friday

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Paolo Banchero is making his much-anticipated return from his torn oblique injury.

Thursday’s game is against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Friday’s is against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Orlando Magic have been without their young cornerstone player for 33 games.

Banchero has not played since October 30th. The 22-year-old averaged 29.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in his five games.

The Magic are fourth in the Eastern Conference. Orlando is 22-16.
