Another setback for Gary Payton II

Gary Payton II will be waiting another two weeks until he can make his NBA season debut with the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Blazers, in the offseason, signed him to a three-year, $28 million deal. The reason why he has seen so many setbacks and timelines was due to the abdominal surgery.

He is currently recovering from this surgery and should be a go come the fifteenth. November 15th is his scheduled return date.

Gary Payton II (Calf) To Miss Several Weeks

When Gary Payton II went down to the court with the non-contact injury, not many people were optimistic he would return to the Golden State Warriors’ eventual loss to the Sacramento Kings. However, not many people thought it was going to be this severe.

According to Kendra Andrews of ESPN, Payton is expected to miss the next several weeks due to a torn right calf.
