BREAKING: Kyrie Irving is eligible to play in home games as mandate is altered for athletes
News have just broke, per Shams, that Kyrie Irving can play basketball again at home. After months of speculation, hope, and pure annoyance; we can finally see the return of Kyrie Irving. Irving has been a superstar on the road, and, now, he can take that home with him to lead the Nets to a more successful finish to the season.
Irving will be cleared for home games as New York City will change private sector vaccine mandate to allow exemption for athletes and entertainers in workplace. That change will be made come this Thursday, tomorrow, as this is a monumental win for unvaccinated players in any sport.
Per Shams, it is being reported that Irving can play at home come this Sunday against the Hornets. That will be his home debut for the Nets this season.
He is currently averaging 27.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season. He is shooting 49.0% from the field, 43.0% from beyond the arc, and having a workload of 36 minutes per game.
Nets are preparing for the postseason as they will now have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as the top players on that team. News still await for Ben Simmons; however, this is a huge win for unvaccinated athletes, Irving himself, and the Brooklyn Nets.
