Brett Brown has been fired by the 76ers!

Brett Brown has been fired by the 76ers! It did not take long for the 76ers to cut ties with their head coach; who has been in Philly for seven years. To be honest, he had this coming as the 76ers were swept by the Celtics in the first round. Several injuries, Embiid not doing anything, and a total lackluster on offense and defense.

Even though Embiid and Simmons haven’t been the best on the court together, the 76ers didn’t give thought to trade possibilities. The team is currently hoping that new coaching staff is what they need to repair this duo.

With Brown out of the office, who’s filling his position?

It is being rumored right now that Ty Lue, former Cavs’ HC, is a possible candidate for this position. If everyone remembers 2016, then they will remember that was the year that the Cavs and Ty Lue won the 2016 NBA Finals.

This would be huge to have a great head coach who has tons of experience dealing with upcoming/present superstars and being in the postseason. I strongly believe he is the right choice for them, because he kept LeBron in check before his departure (mainly due to his relationship with the owner).

This guy could be the one to save the duo of Simmons and Embiid, imagine that for a split second. For your information, Lue is currently apart of the Clippers coaching staff. He is the assistant head coach of the Clippers.

Is there another runner-up for HC?

There is one more candidate that has come to mind for the 76ers, publicly. That would be Villanova’s two-time National Champion, Jay Wright. Wright is also in the running for the available head coaching job; as he has dealt with being in the postseason, national games, and keeping players in check. So, he is also a possibility for the 76ers.

Just to let everyone know, this is just publicly. Meaning that the 76ers will be looking into other people for this role. Now, to be honest, it’ll most likely be Lue because of all the experience he has had with his run with the Cavs.
