Donovan Mitchell locking up a huge contract! News is breaking loose as Donovan Mitchell has signed a contract that is mind exploding. His agents, Ty Sullivan and Austin Brown report that he will be getting a contract worth $195 million dollars for 5-years.
The Jazz, with his contract expiring soon, wanted to make sure their franchise player didn’t go anywhere. With that being said, big-money contracts were given to the All-Star guard.
Now, there are strings attached to this deal. He is guaranteed $163 million dollars for the contract; but can make up to $195 million dollars if he does these things. Since the deal includes a 30% escalator clause; if Mitchell makes the votes onto one of the three All-NBA teams, he will be given that $195 million dollar contract.
The Utah Jazz are believing in themselves to be one of the top teams in the Western Conference. They will be having Mitchell, Jokic, Favors, Clarkson, and Gobert. They made it to sixth place last year, with the new and returning pieces this year; the Jazz could be running at a real playoff shot.
