Kevin Durant lining up for a big payday this Saturday!

Kevin Durant lining up for a big payday this Saturday! The Nets are ready to pay the man that essentially carried Brooklyn on his back during the 2020-21 regular season; injuries and COVID killed that team from rallying to The Finals, or at least past the Bucks. While he dealt with injuries, so did Kyrie and Harden. The main injuries that the team was suffering from were hamstring, back, and ankle injuries. Tough to say the least.

While Durant could not take the gold with Brooklyn, he will be trying with Team USA. That is to be against France Friday night, which would be tonight, that would be Durant’s third gold medal won.

He actively made the decision to decline his 2022-23 player option and extend off of his 2021-22 earnings to see where he would go next. Should this be a surprise? It allowed both sides to come to terms, as reported right now, on a new long-term contract that would keep him under contract till he was 36-years-old.

His manager has confirmed that the contract will be 4-years, $198 million dollars to extend. This will be a maximum contract with Brooklyn.

In the regular season, Durant scored 26 points per game. In the postseason, which would have been 12 games, he averaged 34 points per game. Huge force to be reckoned with, saying the least as we were only talking about his scoring productivity.
