Kyrie Irving able to practice but not play any games due to the vaccine mandate! Despite him not having the COVID-19 Vaccine, he is now able to practice in Brooklyn’s team facility. The reason for non-vaccinators to be able to come and practice at the HHS Training Facility is because the city has determined it to be a private office building.
However, when playing in arenas against opposing teams, those arenas are not private office buildings. They are not just being contained to one team, a limited amount of people, private. Right? It is open to the public, and due to the COVID mandate in Brooklyn, New York, you must have the vaccine.
“At least he can practice,” Kevin Durant told reporters when asked about Irving following the Nets’ preseason game against Milwaukee on Friday night. “But we want him here for the whole thing. We want him for games, home games, practices, away games, shootarounds, all of it. So hopefully we can figure this thing out.”
There have been many rumors and reports stating whether Kyrie will get the vaccine or not; he says he would retire if traded from the Nets franchise, and that’s just one of the many icebergs that are going to cause an eruption. So, Irving will be able to participate in practices but not in games.
