The Orlando Magic announced they have picked up the rookie scale team options for Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, and Franz Wagner.

October 31st is the deadline to pick up rookie scale team options for players who were part of the 2021 and 2022 first-round draft classes.

Banchero is entering his third season, while both Suggs and Wagner are entering their fourth season in the association.

President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman made the announcement; also, per team policy, the terms of the deals are not disclosed.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Orlando Magic have extended Franz Wagner to a rookie max contract. The deal is set for five years and is worth up to $270 million.

The base number is $224 million, but through incentives, it will reach up to $270 million. This solidifies him as Orlando’s cornerstone in their hopes of being a full-time playoff-contending team.

Wagner averaged 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 32.5 minutes. The 22-year-old appeared in 72 games last season.

Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Orlando Magic have extended Goga Bitadze, which will keep him for the next three seasons.

The 24-year-old will make $25 million for this contract period; no player or team options have been attached.

Bitadze averaged 5.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 62 games.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Signs Multi-Year Deal With Orlando Magic

According to multiple reports, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has left the Denver Nuggets to join the Orlando Magic. He is one of the best 3-And-D players in the league and is now getting compensated for his work.

The 31-year-old is signing a three-year, $66 million deal to help lead Orlando to the playoffs. Him leaving Denver doesn’t come as a shocker to most when knowing Calvin Booth said he didn’t anticipate Caldwell-Pope on coming back.

Caldwell-Pope turned down his $15.4 million player option. In his new deal, a player option is in the third year.
