Norman Powell leaves Toronto and heads to Portland!

Norman Powell leaves Toronto and heads to Portland! The Raptors have traded Norman Powell to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Rodney Hood and Gary Trent Jr.

Powell was one of the two players that Toronto was willing to ship away. The other was Lowry. Since they were able to ship him away, all they need to do is find Lowry a new home. Now, why are they doing this? They’re doing this because they want to build this team around VanVleet, O.G., and Siakam. That is who they are targeting.

Powell is having a career-high season. He will be a great fit for that team with the likes of Lillard, McCollum, and Carmelo Anthony.

Pelicans Fearful Zion Williamson (Hamstring) Will Miss More Time

According to the team, the New Orlean Pelicans are bracing for the reality of Zion Williamson being out for more than his scheduled timeline.

Originally, the 24-year-old was set to return in four to six weeks, however, multiple treatments have not allowed him to properly recover. This has caused him to be no where near playing shape.

Williamson has been out since November 6th, which has caused him to play in only six of the seventeen available games.

Zion appeared in a career-high 70 games last season. He’s only played in 190 career games since entering the league in 2019.

Joel Embiid To Miss Multiple Games With Knee Swelling

According to the Philadelphia 76ers, Joel Embiid has suffered swelling in his left knee and will require time off to heal.

Right now, Embiid is set to miss at least two games, as the 30-year-old was ruled out for Friday’s game and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Thirty minutes before tip off, Embiid was ruled out for the game on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets. The expectation was for him to test his knee out, but he never made it onto the court.

Embiid has only played in four of the fifteen possible games this season.
