According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Indiana Pacers and head coach Rick Carlisle have agreed to a new contract extension that will see him in Indy for the foreseeable future. This comes months after battling in the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Since joining Indiana, he has made the Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals in his two coaching seasons. He has been a massive turning point in their postseason, franchise success.
Carlisle has an overall coaching record of 993-860, this spans over three organizations: the Dallas Mavericks (won 2011 NBA Finals), Detroit Pistons, and Indiana Pacers.
