Small Market Teams finds it UNFAIR in the Buy-Out Market!

Small Market Teams finds it UNFAIR in the Buy-Out Market! With the major signings coming from the Lakers and Nets, due to them getting all the good players, an uproar is ensuing.

Fans, players, and even some team executives are crying and whining over this. With this addition of LaMarcus Adridge and Blake Griffin, the Nets have become an unstoppable super-team. On paper. Same with the Lakers, in a way. Meaning, they signed one of the best big-men in the game today. That would have been Andre Drummond.

This is per the ESPN as many NBA teams, whom are apart of the small market, are complaining and forcing the hand of the NBA and Silver to change the rules.

The main reason for changes is the salary cap, which many teams are saying that the NBA is being more generous and more open to the larger market teams than the smaller ones. They believe that the salary cap system is broken and result of that would be pleasing the bigger teams. Like Brooklyn, like L.A., etc.

With that being said, maybe expect a change in the rules. Look, to me, this is fairly simple. You should not be rewriting the rules just because you feel something has gone against your team, or market. If a player wants to get out of a team that is bad, then where would they want to go to? They would go to a good team, or even a team with a daunting calling card.

To me, smaller market teams need to adapt and realize no one is going to go to you. Would Griffin give up his shot to potentially win a ring? No. Drummond? No. Wow, what are the disadvantages for the smaller markets?

What am I trying to get at?

It is a player’s choice. A player’s career. Most importantly, it is the choice of how their brand and popularity will grow. Your not going to get that with the sorry OKC, right? We have to remember their are factors to this.

That means it is not unfair, sure it was untimely for this year. However, not unfair.

What do you guys think? Do you think they should change the rules? Are they just whining for no good reason? Also, do you believe this is even worth talking about? Let us know in the comment section below!
