According to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, Jalen Duren is set to make more than $30 million a season on his new contract in restricted free agency this offseason. This seemingly comes after reports speculated that the Detroit Pistons and Duren were nowhere close to an agreement.

Despite betting on himself and earning an All-NBA award, his poor postseason play did stunt his hype and advantages towards securing a lucrative contract. Despite that, some reports do have him making around $40 million a season, if he doesn’t sign for the 30 percent Rose rule that he qualified for.

In 70 regular season games, the 22-year-old averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 28.2 minutes.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Oklahoma City Thunder will be evaluated day-by-day and game-to-game with a left hamstring strain. He has had a history of right and left hamstring strains.

In their Game 2 victory against the San Antonio Spurs, fans witnessed Williams leave the game in the first quarter after re-injuring his hamstring. In the first round of the postseason against the Phoenix Suns, Williams suffered the injury. This was severe enough to force him to miss the entire second round against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite traveling with the team, the 25-year-old remains questionable for Game 3 at San Antonio. Currently the series is tied one-apiece.

Due to offseason wrist surgery and the two extended periods with a right hamstring strain, Williams has only played in 33 games this regular season.

According to the man himself, LeBron James’ free agency decision could most definitely go into August. He’s currently in the process of making the decision to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers, leave for another franchise, or outright retire this offseason. If he were to return to the league, he would be coming back for his 24th season.

James spoke alongside co-host Steve Nash on the “Mind the Game” podcast regarding his future. Biggest priority for him is to take time and spend it with family before setting his focus back on his basketball career.

The 41-year-old says a family vacation has been planned for after Memorial Day. Again, he references late July or August to be the time he most likely makes a concrete decision on his professional future.

“I’m still in the moment of just taking my time,” said James. “I haven’t even really thought about it too much. Obviously, I understand that I’m a free agent and I can control my own destiny — being here with [the Lakers] for the foreseeable future or if it’s going somewhere else.

“But like, I haven’t even really got to that point…I think at some point in June, late June, as July rolls around — free agency starts to get going and as July rolls around and maybe into August, we’ll start to kind of get a feel of what my future may look like.”
