The Hawks have traded for Dejounte Murray
Dejounte Murray has been in the circle of news for a while now, well since the NBA Finals got done, as rumors were spreading like a wildfire about this player. An improvement player that has grown to become one of the most powerful shooters for a team to have, which is incredible.
The deal includes the Hawks trading Danilo Gallinari and multiple first-round picks to the Spurs for Dejounte Murray. Plus, a future pick swap. The first-rounders are in the years of 2023, 2025, and 2027. It should also be noted that the pick swap was for the year 2026.
Spurs have tremendous picks and a good enough player when exchanging Murray. An interesting backcourt has arisen out of Atlanta with Trae Young and Dejounte Murray back there.
Last season, Murray averaged 21 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists per game. For Gallinari, he averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. Like we mentioned on Twitter, huge upgrade for the Hawks.
