According to multiple reports, headlined by ESPN’s Shams Charania, De’Anthony Melton has suffered a sprained ACL.

This diagnosis was confirmed through an MRI, as this injury is in his left knee. For right now, there is no timeline for his return, but Melton has already been ruled out for Golden State’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors have signed the 26-year-old to a one-year, $12.8 million deal in the offseason.

According to LeBron James himself, he isn’t going to play “until the wheels fall off.” Despite saying that, James never said when he would retire. That thought is still running through his head.

“I’m not gonna play that much longer, to be completely honest. I don’t know how many years that is, whether it’s 1 year, 2 years, whatever… I’m not playing til the wheels fall off.”

Now, this speculation has been intensified by ESPN’s Shams Charania. Per Charania, he believes LeBron will retire after next season. He cites it because that’s his $52.6 million player option season.

Over the past couple of contracts he has signed, LeBron has made it very flexible to where he’s in control of what happens. Whether that’s short-term deals or including a player option.

However, despite what Shams said, he does see a world where he does continue to play. He cites the NBA All-Star Weekend being held in Los Angeles in 2027, and his son, Bryce James, being able to play with his father as soon as the 2026-27 season.

While all of this is speculation, it would be interesting to see him have his farewell tour in 2027, playing with his two sons on the Lakers, hosting the All-Star Weekend, and having that year dedicated to him.

There are multiple reports circulating that Bojan Bogdanovic is nearing his return and could make his season debut this December. A date has not been finalized.

Bogdanovic’s recovery from foot surgery should be finished by then, which means fans will only have to wait a couple of more weeks until his return.

“I saw him on the court shooting [Wednesday]. But playing 5-on-5 and in a real game, he’s progressing well. We’re not gonna give an exact date, but he’s doing good,” Nets coach Jordi Fernandez said about Bogdanovic’s recovery. “He’s in good spirits, he had a good week. He was with us on the road. Having him around is important because he’s a veteran. He’ll talk in huddles, he gives guys tips on what to do and his involvement is very important.”

The 35-year-old will be making his return to Brooklyn for the first time since departing in 2016-17 in a trade to the Washington Wizards.

Brooklyn acquired Bogdanovic through the Mikal Bridges trade with the New York Knicks.
