JJ Barea has a new gig – and it is NOT the NBA! Since being released by the Mavericks in December, he has been trying to find a gig. A job. Something to keep the 36-year-old’s career alive.
No NBA Team has made offers, as far as we know, because he is going foreign. Barea has signed a contract to play in Spain; with the Estudiantes, the Madrid-based club.
Barea has played 14 seasons in the NBA, three with the Timberwolves and eleven with Mavericks. He also won a championship with the Mavericks in 2011 when they defeated the Heat.
