According to Jake Fischer, the Boston Celtics have indeed put defensive-minded Jrue Holiday on the trade block and will begin to listen to offers for the 34-year-old.

This isn’t a situation where they are testing the waters and then pull out; no, quite the contrary. Per Fischer, they are “most definitely” listening to offers that come in and trying to find the best one for the organization.

With Holiday being owed $104 million over the course of three years, Boston will reportedly have to include a draft pick to move him off their payroll.

Last season concluded his second season with Boston, which saw the veteran average 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in 62 games played. The 2024-25 season concluded his 16th year in the NBA, as he is a former first-round pick back in the 2009 draft class.

According to the man himself, during an event promoting his sneaker and apparel company 741 Performance, said he’s going to spend majority of his offseason in Boston and continue to weigh his options for recovery.

Brown spent playing the postseason dealing with a partially torn meniscus in his right knee, which has now led to possible considerations of undergoing knee surgery to repair the damage.

While it’s still an option, Brown wants to focus on consulting doctors and resting as much as humanly possible.

“l got a lot of doctors I gotta get evaluated with — see the potential for surgery versus no surgery, wait to speak to the [Celtics] organization,” Brown said. “For now, it’s just rest and recovery. I’m taking a step back from a long season. Mentally, it was a lot of stuff going on.”

With Jayson Tatum, torn Achilles, out most likely for the entire season, Brown will be seen as the number one option for the Boston Celtics. The Celtics will have to rely heavily upon the former Finals MVP in Tatum’s absence.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Boston Celtics have confirmed through an MRI that superstar Jayson Tatum has suffered a torn right Achilles.

While Boston expects Tatum to make a full recovery, he is more than likely to be out for all out next season. A devastating blow after he led them to the NBA Finals and signing a shattering $314 million deal.

The injury occurred during the late stages of Game 4 against the New York Knicks. This was a non-contact injury where he couldn’t put any weight on that injured leg.

Fans saw him being carried off the court and immediately on a wheelchair to get medical attention.

Despite the loss and injury, the 27-year-old left it all out on the court. He recorded 42 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks.
