Blazers Not Willing To Give Up Damian Lillard

Per ESPN, both Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers have no intentions of parting ways. It appears they are on the same track, in terms of commitment to each other.

“Not at the start of the season, I don’t believe, as of right now,” said Brian Windhorst on First Take when asked if Lillard will be on a different team when the 23-24 season begins.

“They publicly haven’t sounded like they want to trade him. I can tell you privately the Blazers aren’t interested in trading him right now either,” added Windhorst. “I have to underline ‘right now’ because we’re in a fluid situation.”

Portland could be engaging in trade talks with the Pelicans centered around the third-overall pick. While New Orleans shows no interest in trading Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson is definitely on the table.

The draft is one week away and rumors have been intensifying on what will happen in Portland come draft night and beyond.
