According to the man himself, John Wall has announced his retirement from basketball and the National Basketball Association. He was the former first overall pick of the 2010 NBA draft.
Wall was supposed to be a franchise leader, as he was a multi-time All-Star, but injuries began to derail his career. His biggest injury was tearing his Achilles, which saw him miss the entire 2019-2020 season.
After eleven seasons in the league, the soon-to-be 35-year-old was a Slam Dunk Contest Champion, NBA All-Defensive Second Team, NBA All-Rookie First Team, All-NBA Third Team, and five-time NBA All-Star.
His career averages are 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.6 steals across 647 games. Wall spent his career with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Clippers.
