Mike D’Antoni interviewing for Trail Blazer’s HC Position! The Trail Blazer’s are trying to get around 20 to 25 HC candidates that they believe can turn into one promising head coach; one of those candidates is former Rocket’s head coach, Mike D’Antoni. However, it is not like he has been inactive. It is very much the opposite as he is the assistant coach to the Brooklyn Net’s Steve Nash.

This week is stacked with interviews such as D’Antoni today, but then Billups and Hammon within the next few days. Ever since Terry Stotts has been let go reports have been saying that they are trying to keep Damian Lillard. Best way to do it? It is through a head coach as Lillard’s patience is running thin and they are trying to make amends.

With the search going on, several other teams are hoping to get a shot to get a good HC. Teams like Magic, Celtics, Pacers, and maybe some more teams in the near future.

Mike D’Antoni is joining the Net’s coaching staff!

Mike D’Antoni is joining the Net’s coaching staff! The former head coach of the Houston Rockets is signing a contract to make him a part of the Net’s coaching staff. Steve Nash has been putting in the hours and work for this staff; and it has been working out nicely. Two notable names would be Amar’e Stoudemire and now Mike D’Antoni.

This move will make Mike D’Antoni the assistant head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. Also with this move, it will be the reunion of Nash and D’Antoni. Pretty much this whole coaching staff search has been reuniting for Nash.

D’Antoni was the coach of Steve Nash from the time period of 2004 to 2008. That was the creation of the “seven seconds or less” scheme that took flight. Also made Nash more known as a really successful point guard in that motion.

The Nets have already announced the hirings of Stoudemire, D’Antoni, and Udoka. Ime Udoka is a well-known assistant head coach from his times with the Spurs. That was about seven seasons.

BREAKING: Mike D’Antoni won’t return as Rocket’s HC next season!

BREAKING: Mike D’Antoni won’t return as Rocket’s HC next season! It is being reported right now that Mike D’Antoni is not returning to the Rockets; he is informing the team today.

His contract was set to expire after they lost in their last playoff series. D’Antoni also declined contract extensions to continue being with the team.

The 76ers will be bringing in Mike D’Antoni as one of the candidates for the head coaching job. This now means that the Rockets will need a new head coach along with a long list of teams that do too.
