Optimism is rising for a return to Seattle! Jenny Durkan, Mayor of Seattle, has spoken with Adam Silver and things are going very well. The conversation with the NBA Commissioner went so well that they are “pretty optimistic” that they will be moving forward with an expansion franchise to replace their old team: The SuperSonics.
After some time off of thinking about expansion, after Silver shot back up the idea; Durkan was excited to hearabout getting a new team, a better team. That is since his last team moved out of Seattle in the 2007-2008 season.
Yeah and I can see why you would want to have another franchise, why? Because NHL and their owners were a let down, they introduced the Seattle Krakens. A sea-monster has done the impossible, they were called The Krakens.
We can see why the Mayor of Seattle wanted another franchise to come to their city, and was so excited and was on board because they needed hope again in their sports. He’s probably thinking to himself, “if we try it again with the NBA then maybe fans won’t be laughing at our Kraken’s NHL team.” Oh well, there is always the next time.

When the Seattle SuperSonics left Seattle, after the 2007-2008 season, they moved to Oklahoma City and called themselves the Oklahoma City Thunder. Or for short: OKC.
How attractive is their city?
What’s getting people into the idea of relocating or expanding in Seattle; is the fact that they are almost done building a new arena. In with the new, out with the old. However, the Kraken’s, a scary sea-monster team, will be home to the Climate Pledge Arena after a $900 million dollar renovation.
More than a decade in the making, also, this is expected to be the home of the NBA team too. If there is one, that is to be expected. Who knows, right? But, both sides, mainly the Seattle Mayor, is excited for this and sees no signs of troubles for this new team.
Hey, since we are on the side and thought-process of sea-stuff and naming it that. I got a great name… how about the Seattle Loggerheads? The Loggerheads are apart of the sea turtle family, if we have the Krakens then we got to have the Loggerheads.
