According to multiple reports, Mark Williams has not returned to the Charlotte Hornets since the Los Angeles Lakers rescinded the trade involving Williams and Dalton Knecht.

Charlotte is giving Williams the ability to reset and to process all that has happened, as when he’ll return to the team is unclear at this moment.

Los Angeles will have Knecht back, with them getting Alex Len as their new center.

The Hornets tried overruling the rescinded trade, but the league denied their option.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns have traded Jusuf Nurkic to the Charlotte Hornets to make a real attempt at beginning the process of getting below the second apron.

Phoenix needed to attach a 2026 first-round pick to move off the veteran center. This season, Nurkic is making $18.1 million. Next season, he’ll be on an expiring contract, making $19.3 million.

The Hornets have traded Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic, and a 2026 second-round pick to the Suns. Both players are seen as potential bench players for Phoenix.

If the Suns were to part ways with both these players in the offseason, it would help reduce their tax bill and potentially go under the second apron.

According to the Charlotte Hornets, they will be without their second-leading scorer due to wrist surgery to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist.

Brandon Miller had a phenomenal season, but it got cut short after suffering the injury on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. Initially, it was listed as a wrist sprain. It has evolved into something more serious.

In 27 games this season, the 22-year-old balled out. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 34.2 minutes. Most noticeably, Miller notched career-highs in points per game and assists per game.
