On my Twitter page (@CourtSideHeat) and on the website (CourtSideHeat.com), I have been covering NBA2K23 extensively – especially for the final hours leading up to the game’s release. CourtSideHeat has covered top players on All-Time lists, NBA 75 Players, top players in the game, and so much more. I even got into teams. Now, CourtSideHeat will be looking at the top five players per position for 2K23.
This is going to be a short, but comprehensible, list of the highest players per position. Nothing too fancy, but still to the point of everything you need to know about this game.
WAIT! Before I get started, listen to this episode on everything you need to know about NBA2K23:
With that being said, let us jump right into this list!
According to Chris Haynes, the Miami Heat again suspended Jimmy Butler for violating team policy. This time, it was for missing the team’s flight to Milwaukee on Wednesday.
The suspension will last for two games, seeing him miss Thursday’s game against the Bucks and Saturday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
This suspension comes after recently serving a team-imposed seven-game suspension. Butler only returned for three games before being reprimanded again.
There is a strong expectation that he will no longer be a part of Miami’s organization until the trade deadline. Per multiple reports, Butler is willing to be a part of any organization, as long as it isn’t Miami or the Memphis Grizzlies.
According to the Charlotte Hornets, they will be without their second-leading scorer due to wrist surgery to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist.
Brandon Miller had a phenomenal season, but it got cut short after suffering the injury on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. Initially, it was listed as a wrist sprain. It has evolved into something more serious.
In 27 games this season, the 22-year-old balled out. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 34.2 minutes. Most noticeably, Miller notched career-highs in points per game and assists per game.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Minnesota Timberwolves have learned that Donte DiVincenzo will be out indefinitely due to a big toe injury.
DiVincenzo injured his left foot’s big toe, which has been placed into a boot. Him and the organization will seek all options before making a final decision.
The 27-year-old’s injury is untimely, as he was just moved into Minnesota’s starting lineup. DiVincenzo put up a season-high 28 points in their loss to the Golden State Warriors.
There’s an expectation of him returning to the starting five once he is healthy.
