Mark Jackson and others deemed finalists for Kings’ HC job

Steve Clifford, Mike Brown, and Mark Jackson are all finalists for the Kings’ head coaching job. Sacramento is looking to end their 16-years without making an appearance in the postseason, they want to achieve that with a good head coach. They haven’t had one yet to take them to the postseason since Rick Adelman in the 2006 NBA Playoffs.

All three finalists have had head coaching experience. Jackson is a current analysis for ESPN, while Clifford is a consultant for the Brooklyn Nets and Brown being an assistant coach for the Warriors.

The Kings are not only hoping to make the postseason, but just to secure 40 wins in a season. Believe it or not, Sacramento has not won 40 games since the 2005-06 season. They are in rebuild mode that is effecting the front office, coaching staff, and the players.
