What!?! Structural damage to Jokic’s knee
What!?! Structural damage to Jokic’s knee… yep the testing done on Wednesday and, good news, everything is a-okay. Quick scare by the title? Yeah so was I, when reading it from different sources from the internet. His right knee was tested and no structural damage was found; so, that is huge!
The injury at the time was a right knee contusion, happened during the Utah Jazz game. The Nuggets had a scare with their reigning-MVP, however, if losing the game is the worst thing to come out then that is incredible. Why? Because losing him, on top of Murray, would be devastating. Even if it was for a couple of games, it still would have been a heart-breaker.
“He said it feels a little weak, and I just shut him down,” Malone said after the loss. “I took the decision; it’s not his decision to make.”
Nikola Jokic was questionable to return before head coach Mike Malone pulled the plug, and he has good reasons. You can’t risk a guy that is averaging 27/16/4, solid numbers.
